Location: Coniston Lake, Baliff Wood Site (see www.freshwaterdiver.com for info)

Cost: Free to dive (may have to pay for parking as not all parking sites are free, although I think this one is).

Open to all qualified divers.

The Dive: Baliff Wood is a popular dive site and is known more recently as being the place where the 'lady in the lake' was brought ashore. The water here has a max depth of 40m, however, due to remote location etc, max depth for this dive is 25m and no deco stops so please take this into account when planning your dive. No air refills available.

Additional Equipment Required: Due to surface traffic, all divers must use an SMB. Torch is a must if you plan to dive below 15m.

You will need to take enough refreshments and drinks for the day as there is nothing at the acutal dive site.

Weather will still be cold so warm clothes for on the surface.

Due to the remoteness of the location we will be taking the club's O2 and first aid kits, please notify me if you intending to come along if you are qualified in either of these as we need min 2 people that can administer if required, but I'm sure this won't be necessary.

Travel arrangements etc to follow but as normal will probably meet up at the services just before we exit the motorway and go in convoy to the dive site.
