After starting the 2008 sea diving season under the north cliffs of Anglesey, hiding from a force 7 ‘breeze’ and diving in pea soup, I thought starting 2009 in Lochcarron would provide better early season diving.

Thanks to the Community Foundation for Greater Manchester, Mid Lancs Sub Aqua Club will very shortly be in a position to purchase a shiny new portable compressor.
After a lot of research we eventually selected the L&B 245B unit, as it offers low operating / maintenance costs, mobility, and high speed filling of cylinders.
Therefore we can offer our members a low cost solution to refilling diving cylinders, and the ability to dive at previously unexplored locations.
Again can I thank all who have helped with the application, and to all who have made Mid Lancs Sub Aqua Club the successful branch that we are.

As we set off on the long hall to Lochaline, had it really been 8 months since we were last there? So many good places to dive and so little time! There was certainly a great deal of excitement between everybody on the journey, with many phone calls asking "where are you" and others repeatedly asking me "are we there yet…" We rolled into Lochaline around 4.30, just giving us enough time to prepare Little Mo for the adventures of the weekend, before checking into the dive centre and off to pub. |
